No screws has to be undone, just lift the seat and there, ontop of the frame, the RDW can stamp their/your engine number!!

Re: VIN LOCATION URGENT

The Dutch DVLA, the RDW has stamped my bike under the seat in the frame beside the seatlatch. De RDW heeft mijn frame ingeslagen in het frame onder de buddy, naast het slot voor de buddy. Daar is een vlak stuk metaal waar het framenummer precies past. Dus bovenop het frame, niet aan de zijkant!! Gro...

Re: VIN LOCATION URGENT

There is no number in the frame. The dutch RDW has to stamp a number in the frame under the seat. That number is is the same as your enginenumber. You have to make an appointmant with the RDW to stamp the number in the frame.

Good luck, Jannes

Re: Commander tunning

Both carbs have an choke-system and cable. Good advice is, to take both choke-systems apart and change the standard-o-ring for a harder Viton-type. The original o-rings become to soon to sloppy, and don't seal good enough anymore wich can result in all kinds of running-problems. If i'm correct Tony ...

Costs

Just payed AN 16 pounds for post and packaging. What did i buy? A few o-rings.
Is it me, or is this way to much.
Asking if they could send it in an enveloppe for a few pounds was not on.
Furthermore the Dutch customs wants another 8 pounds. So, costly business buying small stuff...

Re: Green Commander for sale in the Netherlands

Go to Marktplaats.NL and search for Norton Commander and you will find the bike.
It's from Portugal with now a Dutch Registration.
There is mentioning of an S behind the enginenumber? This should be very special?
I never seen or heard about this...
Perhaps Richard knows?

Best oil is the one Tony Page used on his Interpol. He did more than 300.000 miles on the same gearbox.
He used SAE 140 if i'm not mistaken...
