seat and rear panel parts

Post by BELLIOUS »

Hello
After buying that commander off EBAY in december i have finally had a couple of hours to take a better look at it .
After charging the battery and a little bit of coaxing it finally lives again alough not for long as its comming to bits as its quite noisey on the primary side , but the main things are the seat and the rear panels that have been modified to take givi panniers and alough it looks ok ive bought some krausers and intend to fit these . What id like to find are a seat and the rear body parts for a krauser commander but i,d probably be better off looking for a magic lamp unless someone on here knows better ?

Hello Graham,

Try Startright for an Krauser rear end, I bought one from Graham many years ago and the hockey sticks you won't have a problem finding.

Alternatively and not much help to you, I do have a new unused spare which could be copied if needs be but I'm too busy to do it. The biggest problem will be a dual seat, Krauser seats are wider than standard Commander seats but I will be looking into having some made soon I just need to find a better sponge first.

Regards, Joe.

hi
the bike i bought came off e.bay and was fitted with givi luggage which looks ok . The rear seat cowel and seat look like they came off a yamaha fj1100 or 1200 and look ok but i,d rather have it as close to real as possible but failing this i will have to have the seat remade and the panels sorted but thanks for the info

Hi Graham
I might be interested in your redundant givi fittings? Any chance of a pic?

Hi 'Bellious' - Sorry for the delay in responding - I just wondered if you had any photo of the givi pannier conversion for the Commander?

HELLO
Im quite busy at the moment but i will try to get some pictures to you a.s.a.p
As ive said ive bought the krauser paniers and mountings( which may be sold on ) but i think the givi ones suit it better as its got tje fj tail piece on .The side panels, around the seat and seat look poor but my mates a body work guru and said he will show me how to sort this out , now all i have to do is get the DVLA TO GIVE ME A LOG BOOK NIGHTMARE !!!!!!!
