We listened to the live coverage of the first senior race today, the Norton did extremely well, a 132 lap and sounded brilliant !Result !

It was the superbike not the senior, in the senior it failed to get round Sulby bridge and went into the field (rider OK), keeps Norton in the news, what pity it didn't have on of Brian Crightons' engines in it !Oh well, a V4 sounds OK to me.

It was awsomely loud & went really well. David Johnson appeared to leave his braking too late at Sulby Bridge in the Senior & had to go straight on througth the air cushions & into the river meadow at about 20 m.p.h. or less.

Yes, I noticed his back wheel was off the ground shortly before the bales. Shame, he was lapping really well. One year at the TT, I was at Bradden Bridge and watched Joey Dunlop go straight on at the left onto the bridge, outbraked himself, if Joey could do it, no shame for Dave. At the speeds reached down Sulby straight nowadays , it's a wonder more don't do it !Regards all,Terry
