Andover Norton open day
Font forget the brilliant open day over 400 bikes last year with special rotary parking area
Various rubbish in various states of decay.....
Re: Andover Norton open day
The Andover open day is tempting, but a hell of a distance from East Yorks, is it basically a bike meet ?, what is there to tempt us to visit ?
Burger vans don't count ! , workshop tours ?, discount spares stall ? technical talks by the experts there ?....... don't see much on their website about it other than a bike meet. A bit more about it may help us decide.....
Regards all, Terry

I was toying with the idea of a run down, but at 220 miles/ 4 hours each way (Drax) it's a fair run - not to mention the cost of fuel !!

Re: Andover Norton open day
I read yesterday that Paul Ralph is suddenly leaving Andover Norton. From chatting with the Andover guys at the Stafford show, it seemed to me Paul was just about 'the' rotary expert. Their open day would have been a chance to talk to an expert about rotaries.
Anyone well informed enough to comment on this situation ?
2 Commanders appeared at the Mile gathering, Pocklington ,on Sunday, one white, one maroon. Did'nt see the owners.

AN have my IP11, engine stripped, plates being moly coated. I will ring them today to find out if they have a plan. Gutted, anybody want an IP11 in bits ?
Re: Andover Norton open day
Well, I feel much heartened after a chat with Karl. They have a great plan which gives me confidence, and offers of support from some noted experts in the field. Might even have a run down on Saturday if the weather forecast holds. The Mighty 1100GS does 55 mpg, maybe more on a long run !

That's good news as I hated leaving with work still there I hope Karl has a plan as it really was developing well and I had a vision for rotary spares etc.
Sorry to those who still have work there but sometimes things happen beyond your control !
