commander starting problem

Hi guys got a problem with my commander,it starts cleanly but only runs for a few seconds before cutting out, leave for a few seconds and it will start up again,then cut out.Fuel flow is ok, any ideas welcome

Does it run when you are pressing the start button but stop when you release it.If so the ballast resistor has failed. Disconnect the two wires to it & join them together to get it to go.Could be the kill switch playing up. I have had the same symptoms with the switch.Could be the side stand switch or wiring to it. I have come across the switch wires melting on the exhaust causing the same symptoms.Derek.

cheers i will check them, it runs after i release the button but only for a few seconds.
