Too many neutrals

Post by gripper »

Alongside the previous thread about hydraulic clutches, I was wondering if any improvement can be made on downward gear changes to avoid a neutral down from fifth. (normally going into a roundabout) In a panic to get some gear selected, going further down gets a neutral between 4th and 3rd. By this time I'm going far too fast into said roundabout in neutral. Mayday. Mucho crunching of gears results in something but it rarely matches the speed or angle of bank required. I suppose one answer would be to just drive round the roundabout in 5th
