Norton Rotary curved radiator

Hi all,I have found a Car/motorcycle radiator manufacturer that can make me a curved radiator for my Norton Commander based on a curved CBR OR ZX??. The question is/are;When making a curved rad does it have different cooling properties by being curved?Does one measure the existing rad and make a curved one similar or slightly larger.Who knows about rad technology or cooling Norton rotaries?Could I end up over cooling?Any help or advice much appreciated.David

Hello David,Overcooling will never be a problem, you can run on the thermostat. A curved rad allows you to present more surface area within the width of the bike. With a rad that can cope under all circumstances I see no reason why a 92 degsC thermostat should not be fitted.The original Commanders seem to run on the fan switch instead! Often hitting 100 degrees plus in trafficAluminium rads are efficient, the weight saving is positive as well.Please do let us know how you go on.Graham
