Rivnuts

Post by Interpol2471 »

On my new fairing I am fitting all new rivnuts but wondered which type are best, I have ordered both ally and steel countersunk nuts to look at them but wondered what was originally fitted or is best to fit now?

Hi NightStalker,The originals fitted by Mitchenall were alloy. Steel ones may be stronger and less prone to stripping the thread in use, but take more load to set and can crack the grp.Originals were countersunk type by the way.R.
