IP2 Clock not working

The clock on my IP2 stops working when I put the headlight on, It works fine when just the running lights are on
I recently fitted a new ignition switch and barrel not sure if the problem was there when using the old switch
Any suggestions

Check the red and white wiring blocks on the back of the speedo housing they often crack and cause some weird faults as a first check.
