Oil pump setting

Post by fogrider »

Slowly getting the F1 Sport back together, can't find much info about the oil pump setting. At the moment it is 2mm back from the pump index line when throttle off. One internet site says make the lines coincide at 1000 revs. Anyone know what the correct way is please? Thanks, Terry.

Terry,The factory standard setting for the oil pump, is to line up the "C" mark with the mark on the pump casting, and the throttle set to give 2000rpm.
