Re: tank vacum pipe
I think but cant be sure that the vacuum operated fuel taps on the Commanders is from Yamaha, note that it has a reserve position. I have not had any issues with ethanol having owned my bike for many years. I have previously changed the vacuum pipe, ANL had and might still have them in stock. You ca...

The running lights are aircraft landing lights, I have bought a few over the years there are numerous suppliers in the UK if they do not have any in stock you have to wait a while for them to arrive from the US https://flywat.com/.../legacy-landing.. ... ts/7034604

Re: Oil for Norton rotary
Dean, In my line of work we only mix oil types if the manufacturers advise if the oils are fully miscible. In our vessels main gearboxes we use a synthetic oil, which we know is not miscible with a mineral oil, so I would suggest your current oil and the Silkolene is the same. As there is little oil...

Philip, One of the excellent features of a Commander is the enclosed rear chain allowing the chain to be lubricated with 20/50 mulitgrade oil, the enclosed rear chain comprises, amongst other components, two gaiters one top and one bottom, sometimes the gaiters will fail so it is always very useful ...

Alan, At 235KG kerb weight they are not as heavy as some modern tourers, binding brakes may make it feel heavier than they are. If you do not have any rear chain gaiters as spare, always handy having at least one on the shelf, contact Chris Harvey chris.harvey33@ntlworld.com. Chris; using the origin...

John,
It may not be a straight forward as a simple relay, modern cars use can bus systems, my advice would be to seek professional advice from either the dealer or a good auto electrician.
