Classic's and their owners
Just for the fun of seeing how far we can come in completing a 100 LE bikes-list. Below is what i could find in the public domain/internet/forum/FB. So no problems concerning privacy i guess. Craven Collection York has a Classic, what number? Paul Ralph now has number LE011? Solvang Motor Museum has...

Re: Classic for sale
Hi Geoff, Sorry to read this. With some bikes you can have a love/hate relation isn't it? Like Italian bikes. Most times the love-side wins... A Classic is such a good looking and unique bike. Why not also buy a used cheap Jap-bike as a back-up. That way you can keep the Classic. Also, it might be j...

Re: Torque values for bolting the brake disc to the PVM rim.
Of course the type of Loctite used is very important. But the amount used is also critical. I always use a tiny drop at the end of the thread of a bolt.
But I've seen a lot of people dosing the whole bolt in the stuff...

Re: Torque values for bolting the brake disc to the PVM rim.
I think it's 20 to 30Nm for most bikes, looking in the manuals of the different bikes i have..
Bigger problem is that i came across to many bikes where they used to much loctite....

The BMW R27? I ride and own one from 1977. Very very Comfortable bike. The engine is rubber mounted wich helps a lot. And ultra reliable. Only 2 less good points of the bike, is that it is slow and the gear change is a bit agricultural. The gear changing of old BMW's is very easy though, once you di...

Re: Classic wiring/Minimag
Hi Wayne.
Youre right about this. I've tried the site.
Unfortunately the wiring-files don't open on the site when i click on them.......
Of course i have a wiring-diagram from Minimag, but the wire-colors on their diagram differs from my bike's wire-colors.

Classic wiring/Minimag
Need a bit of help identifying certain wires on my bike. Where to connect them to the Minimag ignition-unit i've bought. The info that came with the unit talks about different wirecolors than my bike has, hence me asking. Like to know where the following wires on my bike go to/come from. 1. 2-way-co...

Just read in the newsletter from Norton Andover that the Cook Nielson bike was lost in the fire in the Motorcycle Museum fire in the Alps. Very bad news. Sorry, the 13.000,- was in Euro's... It was 12.000,- in Pounds incl. premium, just checked on the Bonhams site.
I think the premium is 15%, so 10.500,- without it.

Hi John, They couldn't help you? Odd and not very customer friendly. A German company called "Motorrad Stemler" sell 10 types of gaitors. It's in their list "Adler to Zundapp" on their website. Worth a look. I've bought many parts there in the past, always very good services. Jan...

Re: Fork Gator Material
Hi John,
I'd go for BMW ones. Call Motorworks in the UK with the dimensions and see what they have.
I once fitted a non original BMW rubber (the swingarm-gaitor) on my R80 and i got 4 years out of it. Putting an original BMW-one on, now having learned, it still is perfect after 12 years.

Missing bracket? Classic
When i look at the parts-drawings on the A/N-site, there seems to be a bracket fitted to a Classic that i can't find on my bike. It's number is 31 in the 013-drawing of the valances.
Any idea's what this bracket is for?
