Re: UAV Engines

Hello Gripper,No, there is no monopoly on engine spares. Let me know if there's anything you need I have plenty of good used circlips that are fit for re-use. I don't have any new ones at the moment because I usually re-use the old ones so long as the rotor bearing hasn't caused any damage and there...

Re: Batteries for the Commander

Going back to basics, each 'battery' is a series of six cells producing just over 2 volts each. They are all individual and contribute 2.1 to 2.3 volts each roughly. Some cells will be more efficient than others but it doesn't matter because they are all daisy chained one after the other. That's why ...

Left endplates for air cooled rotarys are getting very thin and thin on the ground. I presume for £700, it was cosmetically nice and Moly Coated.Right now, I don't have any left endplates in good condition, the ones I have are below the minimum thickness limit and would need a thick shim under the s...

Wow! That seems expensive.A mould I recently had made for the F1 Sport tailpiece cost £450 and that's as complex as it gets (It bolts together with 16 bolts and is in 3 pieces). I stood that cost myself, believing that future custom will eventually bring me a profit.Cost to me per unit is £90 so I c...

Re: CARBONE IN THE ENGINE

There's always some carbon around but it's rarely a problem. If you're laying the bike up for winter, leave the plugs out and squirt some oil down both plug holes. Leave it in top gear and give the back wheel half a turn now and again. Most of the carbon will mix with the oil. Firing up next spring ...

There is a problemTurbochargers needs a reliable oil supply at pressure. First job is to design a sump and a high pressure pump, then a feed and return to and from the turbo. On overrun, turbo speed can rise to 200000 rpm. Working speed can be 100000 so the bearing always need a good oil feed. Water...
