Re: brake pistons
Hi John,
Doesn't your Honda have a combined brakesystem? In wich one front disc works on its own, and the other front disc works together with the rearbrake?
That could be the reason i think.

What if you are completely besotted from a F1/TT , and you are in a low-payed job and you can never ever afford the real deal?
What to do then? Next best thing?????

Ìndeed lets see what they make of it... My problem is, that if i would buy a new bike like a Norton, Royal Enfield, BSA or Triumph it would have to been made in the UK. At least the engine, frame and complete assembly. Same with a BMW...a Chinese BMW...never.. Italian bikes? The same... Has somethin...

Just read; the new 2020 Mazda MX30 is being build with an Rotary-engine. Though, as an range extender. It is going to be run on one engine-speed to charge the batteries. A humble part for our beloved engine....

Re: NSU RO80,
An RX8? I would love one. Unfortunatly there are no specialiced dealers in the Netherlands like in the UK,as far as i know. Buying one would be a bit of a gamble. If i would be living in the UK, i would take the gamble. They seem to being lubed by thin Multigrade oil instead of our bikes running on ...

Saw on Youtube this wunderfull documentary about the NSU RO80. In it of course Felix Wankel. The documentary is called "NSU RO80, das Wankelauto". This documentary is German spoken. Even if you don't understand German, it is a very nice documentary. Easy to follow. A question to David Came...

Classic liftbar 1.JPG Classic liftbar 1.JPG It seems that indeed you can use the bar left and right. Only a small hight difference. And a litlle bend on the end. How lucky can i be that by accident i found this bar in the loft of my garage. Came from my Interpol 2 days. Completely forgotten that i ...

Re: A sad day
Indeed sad John. One of my bikes (BMW R27), i have now for 43 years and still use it. It's a family bike now. My doughters say the bike is never to be sold. They put it in their hall for display if and when i pop off... Perhaps silly to be very attached to a material thing. But it is not only the ow...

Liftbar Classic
I've seen a few Classics that have a chrome liftbar (probably the wrong word?) on both sides of the bike. The Classic that Richard N had (the watercooled one), also had these on both sides. The left one is standard, is the right one homemade? Or can i buy one somewhere, not Anil i think? With the li...

A4 Certificate Classic
A request: As i always want my bikes to be complete with all paperwork, toolkit and ridersmanual, it annoys me that the previous owner of my Classic lost the A4-buyers certificate withe the details of the first buyer. (i have these details) I now have the plan to make a replica-document and ask Rich...

Hi John,
Without the fairing the old girl is prettier. She looks more like a "Classic" beauty.
Because i have a Classic i'm curious of what your askingprice is going to be? Just out of interest.
The Honda is staying?

Sorry..just letting off some steam.....the Dutch government has decided that very soon (jan.2020) the maximum speed on our motorways i going down to 63 mile/hour (100km/hour)!!!! Re: Number 101
Thanks Richard,
So the 101 number is correct. 100 official LE numbers and the prototype. The rest, although they look like a Classic, have the wrong numbers to be a official Classic, and are in fact replica's.
Thanks, Jannes

I allways thought there were 100 LE-Classics made. But i read on Facebook that the total sum was 101?
Any ideas if this is true? If so, why did they not stop at 100?
Thanks, Jannes

Re: Water cooling
Hi John, My humble thoughts... I think a waterpump is a flow-pump and not a pressure-pump. I think the size of the radiator dictates how fast the water passes through. This size is calculated by the manufacturer. If you could increase the pressure of the pump, i don't think the water passes quicker?...

Forgot; if someone has such a hook for sale, i would be interested as i don't have a toolset with my Classic (wonder in whose garage my Toolset is lying). I've bought an empty toolrol from A/N, so that i can make make a complete Toolset for my Classic, but A/N doesn't sell the hook.
Thanks, Jannes

The Toolset of a Classic contains a hook. What is it for? I guess it has something to do with the removal of the rearwheel?
If so where do you hook things on?
Thanks, Jannes
