Re: NRS belt drive question.

Thank you Richard, great drawing, it's very clear and easy to follow. 5 minutes on the lathe and job done. I've been in touch with Joe about having a centre nut and oil pump drive added to the batch if that's OK ?
Thanks again, brilliant.

Re: NRS belt drive question.

Richard, would it be possible to get some measurements please ? Am I right in assuming the centre boss remains the same at 14.1mm and it is just the material around it that needs machining ?

Here you go Richard. Do you recall how much needs to removed from the back plate to make it contact the bearing ?

Re: NRS belt drive question.

OK, well that's weird but this one has been machined and looks different to Wayne's for example as mine has LESS metal on it. Very strange.
I will post up a couple of photos but your memory is good as yes a circlip one side and a lip on the other.

Re: NRS belt drive question.

Thanks very much Richard, yes 14.1mm spot on and yes absolutely level across the face so my assumption that it has been modified was correct. It makes sense as it was a complete clutch from a race bike. Fair to say different things would have been tried and the details lost in the ether. As the back...

NRS belt drive question.

This question is directed to Richard Negus. Hi Richard, it's been a long time. I have a question regarding a slipper clutch I have for my NRS. Now to me the back plate has clearly been machined on the back, the triangular shaped strengthening ring has been machined flat and the centre boss has also ...

After much soul searching and quite a few years I have decided I am actually going to build my F1 Sport. All i need to do is find enough parts for an engine, how hard can that be lol

Re: Reclaiming rotary engine components.

The benefit of the FB groups is answers are often almost immediate whereas on these forums it can often take days or weeks to get responses. I find the same with forums for my other interests as well.

Re: Reclaiming rotary engine components.

Gents, I know we are probably a small group (I don't know exactly how many members) but maybe we should take a more proactive approach and form a rotary owners club tooling committee to address the issue. I am a member of the stag owners club ( I know they have a far bigger membership) and their co...

Gearbox spline

Strange question but does anyone know whether the spline that goes into the clutch centre on the Triumph based gearbox (Interpol, Commander etc) is the same as on a Norton Commando etc. Thank you.

Happy New Year all.

That's interesting Richard as when the 'Green one' was recently advertised the owner said it was the last one made hence historic when in fact it was the first one built.
