Tig,There are about 5 to 6 of us around the Hampshire / Berkshire area. We are planning to have a stand at the next Popham events so keep your eyes peeled for That. I did try to arrange a meet this year but failed but will try again next spring with the better weather.

Hi yes I do have some chain case oil seals. They are the ones for the Interpol 2 and the Classic. I am making the list up at present and will let the people know who asked when it is complete.

Re: Popham Mega Meet
Hi there John Popham is near Basingstoke in Hampshire and the next meets are in May and August of next year. There is another thread on the forum where we mention having an owners club stand so the more the merrier. The Mega meet in August is becoming one of the biggest bike meets in the country so ...

Re: Manx GP
There was a nice grey Commander at Netley so I wonder who that was? It was G reg and only there on the Friday. I did see you leave Popham but I was on my Cub so you probably would have ignored me anyway Hopefully we are looking at having a Rotary Club stand at next Popham so keep watching.

Have you checked the o rings on the choke enrichening device as these crack allowing extra fuel into the inlet? I think Richard posted some pictures some time ago on the removal, if not it's very easy

Re: Commander oil leak
I had better clarify my last statement I think the drain plug you talk about is the drain plug that Graham W. uses as the oil drain from the centre plate MOD not a water jacket drain as you think so it may be loose but I am an air cooled man so who knows red face Still check your oil feed hoses thou...

Re: Commander oil leak
Hi if this is clean oil it may be a good idea to check the oil feed pipes for cracking or the frame drain pipe as this can drop oil in this area. The plug you talk about is the centre plate drain plug as you suspected.

Well thank you for that advice, I now have 100 of each of the 5mm and 6mm alluminium fixings as they were so cheap to buy. If anyone wants some for their own fairing let me know as I have a few spare now

Well Nuts
Hi all. As you will see in the Gallery my new fairing is ready to be built and put on the bike but I am still wondering what fittings to use. I have now just bought a load of well nuts to try as I believe these may be the best answer as they are easily changed and should be strong enough for the fai...

Re: oil
The characteristics of the pre-mix oil are very similar to that of Rotella 40 simply. If you check the Silkolene web site all will become very clear. There is another post on this forum that goes into depth about previous tests done on the oil by aviation users and also by the Police which is also v...

Re: oil pump adjustment.
John is right the pump should be set to the alignment 'c' mark at 2000rpm. If I remember correctly Pete Morris told me you can set it lower at about 1800 rpm if you do more town work and also make sure you remove the nylon spacer if you have it fitted holding the pump on at idle.

I do the same as you JB but I use 10w40 and all has been fine so far. I must admit I change the oil about every 1000 miles and tend to ignore what comes out as all appears fine... so far

I use Bel-Ray Gear Saver 85W140 and that should be available from any good motorcycle shop or ATV stockist. Best I could find at a non bank busting price
