Commander water pump seal wanted

Does anyone on here know where I can get a water pump seal for my Commander. Andover have none and aren’t intending to get any more. If anyone knows what else they fit and where to buy I would be a very happy vegemite.

Norton rotary owners Australia meet up

Any owners of rotary owners located in Australia fancy organising a meet. I am based in NSW but I can travel and would love the chance to help arrange a Norton rotary meeting. If in NSW I own a motorcycle dealership in NSW which we could use as a base, but I’d relish the opportunity to ride to Qld o...

Re: Wanted F1 or F1 Sport

We have moved to a smaller house, I did see the stuff the other day. Not good of me but I have bought a business, been busy and to be honest forgot about it. I’ll try and find it this week and contact you when I do.

Wanted F1 or F1 sport

Hi
I am looking to buy a nice F1 or F1 sport. I have a commander already ( my third) and always wanted an F1. Any leads to a nice reasonably priced bike would be much appreciated.
I live in Australia so the bike will be exported.
Thanks

Posted this on wrong board - oops

Hello,
I am wondering if I can replace the mineral oil I am currently running in my 1989 Commander for the Silkolene 2T classic oil.
I know the Silkolene is fully synthetic. How clean do I need to get the oil tank oil lines etc, to start using the synthetic oil.
Thank you

Re: For Sale Krauser Commander

Hi Bill,
Do you have any photos of the bike? What colour is it? I am moving back to the UK in September from Australia. I have just sold my Commander and want to replace it. I would like to buy this bike from you.

Re: Commander will not idle when hot

I had a few spare minutes today so I removed my carbs and replaced the o rings on the inlet pipes and all but one of the small rings on the idle bypass pipes. First question, how the heck do you replace the engine side small print on the idle bypass tube, I can just about see it let alone get to it ...

Re: Commander will not idle when hot

Thank you, I do have a manual. It appears to say adjust the idle using the air screws on the inlet manifolds in front of the cards. But my bike just doesn’t seem to respond as it says it should in the manual.
I have a rebuild kit from Andover. I will install that and check for air leaks as suggested.

Re: Commander will not idle when hot

Thanks for the advice I will look carefully at the Startrite web site. One point “ I did off to overhaul it” are you from Startrite? If so I have checked my emails and found nothing that said bike was not idling. I would have happily paid for that if it had needed it. We had time constraints so you ...

Commander will not idle when hot

Hi, I am a returning commander owner. Had a new one in 1989 and have just bought one again. The bike starts and runs well, pulls great and has amazed a few friends who have modern bikes with how ell it can get a move on. I have cured a few problems one might associate with a bike shipped to Australi...

New member say hello

Hi all, I live in NSW Australia and have just purchased a Commander from the UK whichI am shipping to Australia as we speak. I had a Commander in 89 new from Carl Rosner in Croydon. I rode the bike through France and Italy one long lazy summer and enjoyed it immensely. I want to have an interesting ...
