IOM issues with Rotary Norton when hot?

Hi all,My Norton Rotary Cafe Racer was running fine until I went to the Isle of Man. I had it shipped over to Tony East's museum in Kirk Michael in April and I then went over in June on my ZX7R. I then had two bikes to play with which was a dream come true. I collected it on the 6th June. It hadn't ...

Re: IP2 air bypass pipes

Hi all,Mine was a similar problem since my gearbox rebuild last month. It was running roughly especially at low rpm, but higher rpm wasn't much better. I double checked carbs and idle pipes, changed o rings, checked wiring connections, could it still be the carbs?Initially it wouldn't start and the b...

Hi Richard,Many thanks for the reply.I haven't had many offers of spares from other Rotary Owners. Graham has some 4th gears and shafts. I haven't tried Andover Norton for a price yet. Norton issues

Hi all,It seemed like a good idea at the time. Problem number 1.On my Rotary Cafe Racer the stainless exhaust collector box under the engine acquired a big dent from the top of a scaffold plank when loading into a van. I removed the exhaust and found a local fabricator to remove rivets and remove de...

Hi Derek,Sorry you didn't make it on Saturday. Would have been good to catch up. It wasn't as busy as I had hoped. Probably about 40 bikes in total, about 20 of them were Cafe Racers. The weather was good once I got there. Met some nice people, took some good pictures. There was a nice blue Norvin C...

Fitting a 530 chain to Commander

Hi all,Has anyone had experience of fitting a larger chain on a Commander. I removed the standard chain because I had previously removed the fully enclosed chain case and the chain was slightly worn.
