as there appears to be no interest in buying the bike I will consider breaking it ,I would only do this if there is enough interest to make it worthwhile, as I dont want a pile of parts left in my garage .dave

1993 commander krauser for sale

I have a 1993 commander krauser for sale it has done 151 miles since molying by Richard ,resprayed in pearl red ,digital ignition fitted, the panniers are marked where a PO has rubbed a wall .I can Email photos to anyone interested £6000, the bike is located near Tavistock dave07967203795

thanks for the offer the only thing is that cricket st thomas is approx 90 miles away from tavistock and not a quick journey. the petrol tap will be replaced this week as the repair kit only lasted approx 3 months it was fitted in feb many thanks dave

carb help needed

are there any members who live near the devon cornwall border (Tavistock )who could assist me ,I have just had my engine rebuilt and I am having trouble getting the carbs adjusted. Got instructions from pete morris and help from Richard but I just dont seem to be able to get it to tick over smoothly...

I have used LAS aerospace in Okehampton devon for some dzus fasteners to fit the commander very helpful may be able to advise you ,google LAS aerospace HTH dave

Re the petseal flaking off ,there is an ad in this months classic bike from Draganfly advertising an ethanol resistant tank sealing fluid may help a few people dave

thanks once again richard as I write this carbs are on the bench been stripped completely all rubbers checked no problems as I replaced them as advised by pete morris when I bought the bike, new vacuum pipe and connectors fitted last week as the rubbers had cracked and a kit fitted to petrol tap as ...

thanks for that richard you say that it may have low compression, the bike starts first time no noises from air intakes and it has only done 19448 miles could it still need rebuilding at this low mileage .many thanks dave

thanks for that info derek my problem is that it wont tickover it keeps stopping ,I fitted a digital ignition last year after starting problems, that made it run and start a lot better but the bike has never ticked over smoothly .the previous owner played with the carbs a bit apparently thats why I ...

I have just finished respraying my commander and thought that it would be a good idea to strip and clean carbs before refitting sidepanels etc ,all cleaned and set as per workshop manual jet height set by an engineer friend with access to measuring tools .now it wont tickover properly ,are there any...

water pump housing advice needed

just removed the water pump housing from the commander is it wise to fit new O rings ? also do you still use wellseal to fit the O rings as it says in the manual and what RTV do I use many thanks in advancedave

after the help recieved about my lock I hope someone can help with dzus fasteners ,I need4 for the rear of my engine cover the long ones ,Norton motors and startright do not have them and no one seems to have the correct length .any help appreciated dave

Thanks vontripper snowed off today so I took a trip into callington to the nearest locksmiths he had a lock to fit its now on the bike . just need it to thaw a bit to go for a ride many thanks dave

I am in need of a lock as fitted to the seat and access panels on a commander .I only need 1a key would be useful, as I have no riding lights on my bike I have made a cubby hole to carry gloves etc behind the screen ,any help appreciareddave
